Crafted from tortoiseshell, inlaid by hand, with gold and silver in the finest detail in a cross hatched pattern in gold, and to each hatch a tiny silver quatrefoil motif. We believe at some stage during their history the ear fittings have been updated to elegant post and butterfly backs originally shepherds hooks
