WEINHAGEN & HESPE THERMOMETER CASE + Thermometer d24 273" Largest diameterWITH THE BETTER PART OF THE ORIGINAL THERMOMETER. This case is made from a mottled material that is orange, brown, & tan. It passes the Simichrome Bakelite test and seems to be molded. The bulb on the thermometer was broken so there is no mercury left inside and that end has been dipped in red plastic so it still looks intact for display purposes.
