Design inspiration can come from many places at once. The triangular embroidery motif can be traced back to early 18th century quilting, when the popular pattern was called a dogtooth border. The pattern also references handmade Rarmuri garments made by Tarahumara women in rural Chihuahua, Mexico. A portion of our profits for this dress are donated to Fondo
